 Jubbal /Hatkoti Visit May 2023 

Notes  on  my Jubbal and Hatkoti visit ,where we went to in May 2023.

 I have certain observations as per detail below: 

The houses in Jubbal Kotkhai are excellent with very good Dormers .

  The houses are virtually like independent houses, although at a very high elevation .

Most houses would be at a height between 5 to 7000 feet. They are located as stand-alone houses in Orchards .

The orchards have come up since late sixties or maybe seventies and now are fetching good income.

We covered Jubbal , saraswati nagar , Sawra Kuddu and Hatkoti areas all adjoining areas and skipped visit to Rohru , Chanshal Kotkhai and Giri Ganga . We visited Kuddu which is very near Uttarakhand border 

It's a very tough area 

There were many advertisements for pesticides for apples. 

The road from Shimla is quite good. It's now double lane and a 110 km and can cover Jubbal / Hatkoti in about 3 hours from Shimla. 

Jubbal constituency where we went to, has given 2 chief ministers to Himachal .

 Thakur Ramlal and Virbhadra Singh . 

The river Pabbar has lot of water .

There are very few Homestay arrangements and hotels.

 I think this area beyond Kharapatthar can really be very important tourism destination of future because it is still an off beat destination where one can have a glimpse of Apple economy, rural economy and is still unspoilt destination . There's an alternative road which is also being widened from Ponta Sahib which is going to further boost connectivity to this place.
